The service department there is only looking to cheat money out of you and not genuinely helping you fix your car. Beware do not go here to get your Hyundai fixed.

Absolutely horrendous purchasing experience. We had the car for all of a single hour before it would not start and had to be towed back to the dealership, where I was then informed that a new starter was four weeks away at minimum and I could not return the vehicle. This was after delivery had already been delayed - we were originally told one week for delivery in December 2021, which turned into six weeks. I did not actually take possession of it until Feb 2022. As of this week, the starter is apparently still two weeks away, for a total of seven weeks I have been paying for my vehicle to sit on their lot. Every time I call for an update, the dates are pushed back - both for the original delivery and now for the starter. I have yet to be given an accurate delivery date for my vehicle and half the time the dealership either does not pick up or does not return calls. Based on the lack of reliable information and the fact that three months after I signed a purchase agreement I still have yet to receive a working vehicle, I will never recommend this dealership to anyone.

Best experience ever! Had a major issue on my 2012 Hyundai Tucson for which Hyundai Canada advised me to contact the dealer. That's when I met Jackie Cyr and Colin Mayr. They worked really hard to get my car up and running again, even provided me with a rental so that I can go to work while I wait for my vehicle to get fixed. While it did take a while (since it's a 2012), it was worth the wait. Jackie kept in touch and provided me with updates. I must say that in all my years working with dealers, this has been the best experience I have ever had! Kudos to Jackie and Colin and to the whole Myers Hyundai team!! You guys ROCK!!!!

How did I almost die thanks to the Myers Kanata service team? Read on to find out. Exactly two years ago, I took my 2013 Hyundai Accent in for a rear brake caliper, pad, and rotor replacement. I paid over $2000 for the replacement of the old parts, with the old caliper and rotors lasting 9 years before needing to be changed. While a little shocked at the price, I knew that I could feel confident that the work would be expert quality, since that is why you bring your vehicle in to the dealer, to get the best service possible. Instead I received patch-work. Within the year, my rear left caliper had seized, and the rear left brake and caliper needed to be replaced. They had clearly given me either refurbished or bad parts. After getting this inspected at a trusted mechanic, they told me that they could replace it if I brought it in to their shop. It ended up costing me time and money for the inspection on their first mistake, which I was willing to look past because everyone makes mistakes. Then yesterday happened. I was out at a ski hill, and returning on the drive back along the 417, I found my brakes had gone. Another inspection cost down, and I find out that THE OTHER CALIPER HAD LEAKED ALL OF MY BRAKE FLUID. Yes, they had sold me two shoddy brake calipers on a job that cost over $2000. After trying to calm down about the fact that I could have died due to this leak, I called the service department to be forwarded to constant voicemail machines, and only after calling back 3 times did I have someone return my call, only to tell me that they couldn't help me and that they would forward to the manager who only returned my call almost an hour and a half later. This manager then looked up the warranty on the brake job they did and informed me that "I was only under warranty for a year". Apparently when one brake caliper seizes within that year, they also don't check on the status of the other brake caliper they replaced, since "it wasn't on the work order". So apparently the service manager seems to think they have no obligation to replace the faulty parts they installed on my vehicle. The only actions it would seem that I have are to write these reviews or continue to get a lawyer involved about ways I might get the cost of getting an actual trustworthy mechanic to do this job, correctly, as well as the initial work costs returned to me. Never use Myers Kanata Hyundai. I wish I could just chalk it up to being crooks. You'll be lucky if you're able to walk home, let alone drive home with these buffoons.
