This morning my girlfriend had a 9am appointment for an oil change. At 930am the service department called to say that the air cabin filter needed replacing and it would be $99. She trusted that this was a good price and agreed. When I had found out about this at 10am it was to late to cancel. The air filter is a $15 part online (which the dealership probably gets at much less.) The installation is very simple and can be done by anyone in a few minutes DYI (open passenger side glove box) should actually be done as a courtesy and just make their profit on the filter upcharge. Her oil change which would have taken much much longer and is not a DIY with the cost of the labour/oil/filter and disposal was $83.89 not great but anyways. How can an oil change possibly cost less then an air cabin filter replacement? I question if I was the one that had dropped off the car this morning and they called me if they would have quoted me $99 to replace the air filter..... needless to say I went with my girlfriend when she picked her car up and spoke with the service person. He agreed with me that the price was high for the air cabin filter replacement but he was not able to do anything about it and that the price had just recently gone up from $75 to $99. After some discussion he said the best he could do was to reduce it to $75. Moral of the story is you always need to do your research before agreeing to anything over the phone and when it comes to extra work don't trust they are giving you a fair price! Update!!!! I called Myers in Barhaven and was told by their service department $75 is the standard cost to replace the cabin air filter!!! Wow!! I will be sure to update this review if and when any action is taken by the dealership.

Wow is all I can say. Judging by my first service appointment here I have to warn you DO NOT buy a car here if it means you will be getting it serviced here. I had an appointment booked for 10:45am, confirmed that morning that I was booked for a 2 hr plus recall service, all good. I was 15 mins early, said I would be waiting there. Ok. After 3 hrs sitting there I overheard the gentleman next to me complaining after his appointment 3 hrs earlier his car was still outside. What ? I went and looked an behold my car was still where I parked it? I asked why it was still in the lot 3hrs after my appointment I was told that the appointment was only to talk to a service advisor and see when they could fit it in. I said an appointment means the car is slotted to be worked on close to the time of the appointment. Told him to give me my keys and I left. 3rs total driving and gas, 3hrs wasted sitting. Rest of the day angry. The other customer, first visit told he needed a strut. Made an appointment. 2nd visit dropped his car off, was told he can't stay so they drove him to a mall, 3hrs later called and said they don't have the part and to make another appointment (knew the part he would need after the first appointment). Next appointment where we met , yeah his car was still in the lot 3 hrs after his appointment. Man if Hyundai has a place to hear about dealerships they will be hearing from me.

Booked an oil change appointment weeks ago. Arrived to drop off my car 10mins early and was told it would take a couple of hours! Note this quote from their website: "Please Note: Oil changes take just 30 minutes!" I get that everyone is struggling with consistent staffing right now but a courtesy call ahead of my appointment to set expectations and allow me to make arrangements would have gone a long way. If the service department doesn't have time to make these calls why not have one of the many sales staff idling around the dealership make the calls?

Finish reading this post as I’m writing to deter people from a potentially negative experience. Beware, as they will put their profit before their relationship with loyal customers. My husband bought himself a car here and today had to fix the knock sensor. After assessing the issue, they quoted an exorbitantly high price as compared to other highly esteemed mechanics in the area. So when we tried to cancel, they refused and claimed that they had already started the job and were almost done (untrue). They claimed they charged $150/hr and finished the job in 2 hours, but then charged for 4 hours total because “you pay a booked time and it doesn’t change even if it’s done faster”. We did not book for 4 hours. Additionally, my husband bought me a car here last year and planned a simple surprise for me at the dealership but once he had paid and signed the papers, they didn’t care to do what they had agreed to do and just gave us the keys to go find the car in the lot. It was supposed to be a special moment but they ruined everything once they had what they wanted. So this is the second time they have let us down. I don’t think this is fair and do not feel cared for as a customer who has purchased multiple vehicles with them. Yes, these are businesses, but I advise you to get someone who also cares about the “people” that buy the cars and services rather than just the money that exchanges hands.
