I've been working with David Vaughan for a couple weeks now to narrow down which model of the Tiguan I want. He has been the best sales person I have ever met. Thorough, no pressure, fast to respond, and just an all around nice guy. And gave me an excellent quote price. Highly recommend you visit Bytek and see David for your car purchase.

Excellent Sales Staff - David Vaughan

Passing the buck, not good for business

VW Canada and Bytek Auto both try to convince us that surface corrosion like this is "normal" and not covered under their warranty on this otherwise pristine Tiguan with only 46,000km!! Funny how all our previous vehicles (Honda, Toyota, Mazda even Chevy!) have never had this issue on the bottom of each doorsill! Guess we'll be shopping elsewhere from now on, given they don't want to stand behind their product and keep their customer happy.

Hi Kami- and thank you for your feedback regarding your concerns. Generally speaking, I find that the VW lineup stands up to rusting/perforation very well relative to the competition. Unfortunately, the surface corrosion in question is not covered by the 12 year perforation warranty. There are some steps that you can take to minimize any further damage that we would be happy to discuss with you. Please contact our collision repair centre directly to further discuss this matter.

So my friend and I just got back from having a salesperson pitch a fit..when asked for a test drive, he returned with" are you interested in the vehicle because if your not I'm not taking it for a test drive for you to go buy somewhere else". My friend had concerns with buying a vehicle sourced from Quebec but he could have changed her mind, but went off about the test drive saying he wouldn't waste the gas. I would tell you his name, but he didn't introduce himself (plaid shirt and young). What a jerk! Sorry I can't do minus one. You lose Bytek and by association Taylor Creek!

Hi Carol- we are sorry to hear that your friend was not happy with her sales experience! We do find that when purchasing a pre owned car it is much better to test drive the exact car that you may be interested in purchasing. Especially with a pre owned vehicle, as the general upkeep and condition of the vehicle (tires, brakes, suspension, mileage, etc...) will have such an impact that it would not be a fair comparison to the VW that you may eventually end up buying. We are certainly happy to let you know if/when other VW's come available matching your requirements, and of course, more than happy to test drive one that is to your liking with you in the future!
David was simply the best, attentive, no pressure, very open and easy to deal with

From our first meeting, to when we completed the sale, David was always available, answered all our questions (lots of them). He was honest and remained true to his word. He is definitely the 2.0 version of car salesperson (definitely a major improvement over my previous experiences). He was attentive to our need, all communications (in person, by email/phone) where very easy and efficient. My wife and I highly recommend him.
