My experience with Bytek Volkswagen’s body shop was mixed. When I first brought my car in, I was told all the parts were in stock and would arrive quickly. Later, it turned out some parts were on back order, which delayed the repair for nearly 3 months. I often had to call to get updates, which was frustrating. On the positive side, once the work was completed, the quality of the repair was decent and my car was returned clean. Clearer communication upfront would have made the process much smoother.

I deleted my previous review as my experience hasn't stood the test of time. To date I have purchased three vehicles from Bytek and have been using them for service for the last eight or nine years. I have also referred co-workers and friends to Bytek. Back in June (2025), I attempted to schedule an appointment to have the exhaust looked at on one my VWs, the earliest appointment was over a week out, fine what ever. The vehicle was dropped off the night before so it was there and waiting for the 08:30 appointment. By lunch time I hadn't heard from them and I attempted to reach out to get an update. The chances of someone from the service department actually answering the phone are basically zero. I left a message and was called back after an hour or so. I was informed that the service advisor needed to check with parts before giving me an update. So I received a second call back after an additional hour or so. My vehicle needed a part, which was back ordered and had an estimated two week delivery time with no actual commitment of a two week delivery. They wanted me to pay for the part since it was a special order, but since they couldn't commit to an actual delivery time, I refused. The last communication that I had from Bytek was that they would order the part, let me know when it was in and that they would work to make things right between us. It has now been eight weeks with no further communication from Bytek. I went to an independent shop, they reached the same conclusion as Bytek and indicated that they would order the part and that it should be in the following week. The best part, they didn't want a deposit and simply said that they would call me when the part was in, which they did and the vehicle is now repaired. At one point Bytek was my go to VW dealership, but they have me questioning even staying with the brand at this point.

I brought my 2020 Jetta GLI to Bytek Volkswagen in early June for inspection. At the time, I was told that everything was covered under warranty and that I would be contacted when the parts arrived. I waited almost two months without any update. Only after I followed up (while inquiring about their Prepaid Maintenance Plan) did the business manager intervene — suddenly the parts were available. It makes me doubt whether the service team would have contacted me at all if no one had followed up. When they booked me for an 8am repair appointment, I arranged with the business manager to meet her the same day for the PPM purchase. When I arrived, staff told me she wouldn’t be in until 9am. Later she said she had come in early, but didn’t tell anyone — meaning I had to come back again after the repair. This was inconvenient since the dealership is under renovation and the Sales and Service offices are separate. To make matters worse, when I picked up my car, I found that I was charged for an item that I had originally been told was covered by warranty. The next day, I called my service advisor directly and he agreed that I should receive a refund. He asked me to come in to finish the process. However, when I arrived, the service manager overruled him, insisting the item wasn’t covered and that I should pay. During the conversation, He literally said, “We are not Volkswagen. We are just Bytek” — even though the dealership uses VW logos everywhere and communicates as “Bytek Volkswagen.” He also ignored the fact that the price had never been disclosed to me before the repair was carried out. He promised to confirm with my advisor and call me back the next day. That call never came. Even after I followed up by email, I have yet to receive a reply. Overall, this has been one of the most frustrating dealership experiences I’ve ever had: - Lack of communication (two months waiting for parts with no update) - Inconvenience caused by poor internal coordination - Warranty confusion and contradictory information - Unprofessional comments from the service manager denying affiliation with Volkswagen - No follow-up despite promises I cannot recommend Bytek Volkswagen based on this experience.

I recently had a great experience purchasing a used VW from Bytek. Ali Dahir (Sales Representative) and Ali Hassan (General Sales Manager) were both extremely helpful and supportive throughout the process. After taking the car home, a couple of minor issues came up, and Ali Hassan was quick to respond and arrange a time to have everything taken care of. The team was professional, helpful and kind.
